Funding and Financial Aid
The School of Data Science awards a limited number of graduate assistantships to students enrolled in the DSBA and HIA programs each semester. Graduate teaching assistants are assigned to one or more faculty members to support class preparation and research.

UNC Charlotte’s Graduate School has developed a specific resource targeted to meet the need and to answer questions about financial aid that are tailored to graduate students.
Campus-wide Scholarship Opportunities
The NinerScholars Portal gives students access to more than 1,000 scholarships awarded by UNC Charlotte with one application, through the NinerScholars Student Application Portal.
This portal is UNC Charlotte’s online scholarship application portal that matches undergraduate and graduate students to scholarships. After logging in, students create a scholarship profile, are matched with scholarships they may be eligible to apply for, select those they want to apply to and submit all required materials.
The Office of Student Financial Aid administers several federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs to graduate students at UNC Charlotte who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The FAFSA helps U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens gain access to gift aid (repayment not required) such as grants, or self-help aid (direct repayment or service required), like loans and Federal Work-Study awards. For assistance with the FAFSA or your financial aid search, please visit the Office of Student Financial Aid in Reese 122, or visit their website at NinerCentral.
